I have 2 Dell P22T Chromebooks with severely broken screens that I want to put to other uses. Mainly, I want one to be a headless Home Assistant server and the other to be a test system. @MrChromebox (sorry for the ping) I’m guessing this involves the firmware, if so, is it possible to fix this?
ping me on discord and I’ll give you a test build to try
Where can I find your discord, is this a group I need to join?
also I don’t mind flashing the test build but can the test build possibly brick my device?
because I cannot unbrick my chromebook since I got no hardware for unbricking.
no, this would just be testing things to try and get the external display functional
I also updated to the latest 2606.6 release just so you know in case this may affect testing.
ok then, I’m good to go then, how do I contact you on discord?
how does one contact anyone else on Discord?
right… I sent you my username in a DM.DM me on discord if it is fine with you.
Testing complete, MrChromebox will update upstream if no further issues are found
