WP not enabled somehow. (Acer c731)

currently trying to flash firmware; while attempting it says the WP is still enabled yet I have already unscrewed it? any ideas on what 2 do? :]

You need to provide the board name (I couldn’t find your Chromebook). For this you can either:

  1. Boot up recovery (ESC + Refresh (F3) + Power), and giving me the first word.
  2. Go to chrome://system in the browser and giving me the first word of the HWID.

since the OP has already run the script, they should just report the board name as shown there

  1. check that you have the correct screw
  2. check that no metal segments surrounding the screw hole are touching
  3. check that inside of screw hole is clean
  4. nuclear option: lift pin 3 on flash chip or connect to Vcc (pin 8)
