Windows Touchpad Driver not working on Dell Chromebook 3100

I was able to successfully install AltFw/RW_Legacy firmware on my device through the script in Sh1mmer (Easiest way for me, mostly just plug&play) and was able to install Windows 10!

However, the touchpad drivers from coolstar.org do not seem to work, as the touchpad still does not work. In device manager, it is listed as “The device cannot find enough free resources it can use. (Code 12)” under Chromebook Elan Touchpad.

running Windows via AltFw/RW_LEGACY is completely unsupported. Things don’t work because the stock firmware is broken.

Then what should be done?

follow the documentation here, my site, coolstar.org

So is there any way to do that fw installation without having to reinstall stock chromeOS

?

also, does installing UEFI permanently disable the ability to install ChromeOS?

all of this is answered in the docs
