Will my speakers get fried w/ linux on my hp chromebook 11 g8 ee?

the chrultrabook docs say this “Using AVS on a device with max98357a will blow your speakers. You have been warned.”, but under geminilake, under linux notes, it just says “supported”, but i ran the script on my crbook, and it said found max98357a, should i worry, do all max98357a chromebooks have fry risks or its some of them

If that issue applied to your device, you see a warning on the docs and when you run the audio script.

btw under geminilake, audio should work, im on arch, i tried the script and installing sof-firmware, but it didnt work?
