Wifi card not working after linux distro is installed

Its the most peculiar issue, i got it to work one night, now it only works on the netinst of debian. ive tried MATE, Xfce, Gnome, nothin. rfkill says nothin, restart network manager does nothin, ive unplugged and replugged the wifi card? nothin. mate and xfce both said “device not ready”, gnome doesnt even let me see it. My model only has a reported linux issue on mrchromebox as “keyboard camera does not work”. my device is a Samsung Chromebook Plus V2.

edit; did some digging, got wifi to show up but it is “unavailable”. using networkctl i see both bluetooth and wifi as unmanaged.

How about trying iwctl to see if the wifi card is functional at all? I tend to find nm quite confusing.

hi, ive already fixed it via deleting /etc/network/interfaces , it was a conflicting file leftover from the netinstaller of debian. thanks for your reply anyways friend

good to hear that you have fixed it  :+1:
