About new firmware update, this is for the media keys works as in Chrome OS without press Ctrl? But Vivaldi part, i not understend….
Vivaldi is the name of the Linux driver that handles the mapping of the top row key functions.
When enabled, the EC will emit non-standard keyboard scancodes which correspond to those functions. The vivaldi driver then maps them to their functions.
When disabled, the keyboard will emit the standard F1…Fn keyboard scancodes.
Ah, then in windows is irrelevant?
coolstar’s driver should handle both cases, but remapping with vivaldi disabled might not be correct as not all keyboards use the same layout, and without vivaldi, the OS has no idea what keys are present
In windows nothing changed still need press ctrl + function key.
About eMMC speed, do you know why in windows the emmc speed is aprox 150 MB/s and in linux (ubuntu) is 300 MB/s?
that’s how coolstar’s driver is set up.

no idea, not a Windows dev/user
To make top row function as media keys, I forked GitHub - coolstar/VivaldiKeyboardTester: Vivaldi Keyboard driver simulator · GitHub
I edited the section with “remapCfgs→cfg[]“ in VivaldiKeyboardTester.cpp, compiled it, ran it, put the resulting file in system32/drivers then ran croskbreload.exe in the same directory.
I had to resort to using ctrl+number row as the F1-F12 keys because I couldn’t get ctrl+top row to work.
Cool, please attach the compiled file for test.

Rename the file to croskbsettings.bin. Place in C:\Windows\System32\drivers. Either run croskbreload.exe wherever that is, or reboot.
I removed a few of the shortcuts I disliked such as CTRL+Arrow for home/end. Lock is delete.
