english please

Hehehehe, you’ll have to forgive me, but for that I have to use Google Translate, let’s see if it works.

Hello, good morning. After reviewing all the forum posts for Asus with Windows, I’m having several problems, some of which have already been discussed, while others haven’t.

Okay, starting from left to right:

1- It says “Unknown device, PCI Express root complex, drivers for this device are not installed.”

2- It says “License violation (error 10) The system has detected an alteration of your registered product type.”
I don’t understand this, since I paid for it.

3- This device cannot find enough free resources to operate (code 12) on the ITEL Serial I0 12C Host Controller - 4DE8

4- This is exactly the same as the third one, but here it’s a HID 12C device, and the third one is an Elan Touchpad.

I was also getting a Bluetooth error, but I fixed it with an Intel tool.

I would appreciate your help solving the problem. Thank you very much for reading and for your time.

@MrChromebox ¿¿??

Is this the support you provide to those of us who have paid?

I paid for the product over two weeks ago, and I still haven’t received a solution to my problems.

I think the support is terrible, and being told that I need to have a minimum level of knowledge is useless. I paid for your product, and as a customer, I demand that what I pay for works.

you bought a driver from coolstar. No one else here has an association with these paid drivers, nor can anyone else help when there issues.

Obviously, if you are missing drivers for system devices like a PCI controller, then devices attached to that (like a touchpad) are not going to work.

The license issue for audio drivers will probably work once you sort out the rest of the missing drivers. Use Snappy Driver Installer Origin to install any missing drivers and then redo the process for installing/activating the license for the audio drivers.

Ok, I’ll try what you said, I’ll comment again to see if it works or not, in case it helps anyone else.

Hi, @MrChromebox I’ve tried what you said but it doesn’t work, it keeps telling me this: “License violation (error 10) The system has detected an alteration of your registered product type.”
I don’t understand this, since I paid for it.

I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, should I install Windows from scratch?
When we generate the file you mention here: To install your license (automatic):
* Run GenLicense in the gui folder
* in which folder should it go?

I don’t understand it either, I’m not the one who wrote the drivers. Reinstalling Windows is not going to help and is overkill.

Re: the license generator, the instructions are literally right there on the app:

  • generate the unsigned license file. save it wherever.
  • open portal and upload license for signing
  • download signed license file, again save wherever
  • import signed license into GenLicense.exe
  • reboot

the only way it doesn’t work properly is if you have the wrong driver/license pairing, or change your SSD.

You were absolutely right. In my case, the problem was that I never entered the code into the activation program, only downloaded it from the Coolstar website and left it in the root folder. My biggest problem is not knowing any languages. I followed all the steps in your last message and that’s it. Thanks again for your help.

Although, if you can, I’d like to ask if you know how to fix the problem with my touchpad not working, since, as I described, it keeps telling me that the Elan touchpad says “This device cannot find enough free resources to work” (code 12) on the ITEL Serial I0 12c Host Controller - 4DE8.

boot Linux, run my firmware utility script, use the option to set the touchpad type in SSFC, follow prompts, reboot into Windows when done
