Urgent Help Needed: License Reset After HDD Swap (No Reply from Support)

Hello Coolstar team and the Chrultrabook community,

I am writing to seek urgent assistance with a license issue. I recently had to replace the storage drive on my HP Chromebook. As a result, my paid license for the Thunderbolt 4 and audio drivers is now considered invalid because it is tied to the old hardware.

I understand that a license reset is required in this situation, and I have been trying to resolve this through the official channels for a while now, as I urgently need my computer to be fully functional for my work.

So far, my attempts to get in touch have included:

  • Sending an email to the official support address.
  • Sending a follow-up email.
  • Sending a private message to Coolstar on Patreon.
  • Sending a direct message on Discord.

Unfortunately, I have not yet received a response through any of these channels.

Could a member of the Coolstar team please look into this for me? All I need is to have my old license deactivated so it can be re-issued for my new hardware.

I am ready to provide the full license key or any other transaction details via private message.

Thank you very much for your time and any help you can provide. It is greatly appreciated.

the coolstar team is coolstar, there’s nothing anyone here can do.

thank you for replying. I will continue to wait and hope they respond soon. By the way, thanks for the awesome firmware for Chromebook!

@donnie

I am in the exact same predicament.
I just swapped to an NVME drive on my Asus Chromebox 3 (CN65) and my licence is now void.
I have contact Coolstar just like you via email & patreon but I have head nothing back.

Please reply here if you hear anything back.

Thanks

Just a heads-up: I got an email back from Coolstar and they swapped my licence to the new SSD details.

All sorted here.

Hi, I’m in the same situation. Could someone in the team response to me on Patreon also. Thanks
