Summary of the Issue

During the update process when trying tyo run the util script the network is unavailable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Esc Refresh Power

  2. Ctrl D Enter

  3. Login as chronos in terminal shell

Expected Behavior

[Need to run the script from mrchromebox web site, ie https://mrchromebox.tech/firmware-util.sh but inspite of using various IP commands to try to start eth0 or wlan0 network is not available. I am using UGREEN USB to RJ45 for eth0. Also the at this stage the file system says read only so cannot update the resolve.conf file. Can I use a Live Lubuntu stick to fix the network? If so how. I have removed the sticker to remove write-protection]

you need to boot ChromeOS and connect to the internet before switching to the shell to run the script. Is there something preventing you from doing that?

please don’t go down a LLM rabbit hole trying to fix a problem that deson’t exist
