UEFI (Full) auto power on setting

I have been running linux on an HP Chromebox G1 for a while thanks to this site and loving it. Recently, there was a power interruption at home while I was out of town and I had to wait until I got home to press the power button to manually boot it back up.

Is there a setting in the UEFI Full ROM firmware to enable automatic power on? I know that the hardware supports it, as it was an option in the stock BIOS, but I’m wondering if the firmware supports it and, if so, what the CLI syntax is for setting it.

Thank you.

no setting, separate build available upon request.

the stock firmware had no such capability, there are zero settings for it.

What would it take to get such a separate build produced? Thank you.

about 5 minutes of my time. DM me and I’ll set it up for you

I am on day two of trying to find a way to DM you, and feeling progressively dumber. Do I need to have made more posts, or been a member of this forum longer, before DMs will be available to me?

I tried to message you on Reddit but can’t.

perhaps it’s some limitation of the forum on new members. [email protected] works too
