Hello, whenever I do the steps of the firmware of Mrchromebox, it just says the WP firmware is on when in my specific Chromebook I need to disable the battery and take it out. I didn’t find any videos or any guides about my specific Chromebook.
I did the battery without it plugged in and it doesn’t work, like the write protection is still on.
that’s not surprising, is it? The chart I posted above doesn’t list ‘battery’ as way to disable WP for your device. Because it’s not one.
Ah ok, so I need a cable on the docs above that mentions my laptop?
correct - a SuzyQ cable is currently the only known way to disable WP on your device.
Some other JSL boards have a jumper on the mainboard which can disable WP, and this one may too, but it is currently unknown (hence the ?)
Is there specific videos or instructions on how to use the cable and where can I find it
