System is hung and can't power off, get system information, etc

I can’t get any information as my chromebook is “stuck” - it won’t power off.

Computer: Acer C738T-C44Z

Firmware: Mrchromebox full but not sure of version as it has been a long time since I looked at this old Chromebook.

Description of problem: Have mrchromebox firmware installed with chrome os loaded to the internal emmc. Booted latest linux mint from usb flash drive. After successful boot selected the install mint icon on the desktop and went through the screens answering all the questions and starting installation. After the progress went to all green on the detecting file systems screen it just seemed to stop. Can still move the pointer around but nothing else responds. Will not power off no matter how long I hold down power or via esc/reload(?)/power. ctrl shift whatever does nothing. unplugging does nothing.

How can I power it off or get back to the jackrabbit screen to select boot options?

Thank you.

Got it back! i remembered I have what I think is called a suzie q or some such cable for working from 1pc to the chromebook but had always used that with the power off. I plugged it in, the chromebook kicked out a lot of lines about not being able to shutdown. I held the power button for over a minute - nothing. Disconnected the cable and it powered down. I am now back to the mrchromebox firmware 2503.0 04/27/2025 on Acer chromebook r11 c738t cyan. Whew! now i can update the firmware to newest release and start again! I made sure chromeos flex booted so i should be good to go again. Thank you mrchromebox - you had me get that cable for working on an aleena several years ago or I’d still be stuck!
