Switching from ChromeOS to Linux for higher fps on Roblox

I use a Chromebook and I play games on it, mainly Roblox, but I get around 10-20 fps and I lag a lot. I want to switch to Linux so I can get higher fps on Roblox using sober, but I don’t know a lot about Linux or Chrome OS so I need to ask some questions. I have a Asus Chromebook C523NA-BS01-CB. 4GB of RAM, Intel Celeron N3350, and 64GB eMMC storage. Will Linux work on my Chromebook? Will switching to Linux increase my fps? What distro should I use? How much fps increase would I get? Also, tell me anything else I need to know.
