I think it’d be cool if the Chrultrabook project branched out into creating, discussing and documenting hardware modifications, would absolutely go hand-in-hand with the imminent restructuring.
Stuff like:
LCD upgrades (I assume most machines use standard eDP or MIPI, but touchscreen support may be pretty dicey)
Reusing existing interfaces (i.e replacing USB webcams with WiFi cards)
Reverse engineering alternate battery packs (USB-PD is okay, but more of an auxilliary solution in my opinion)
