Shyvana - Huge battery drain during poweroff - can GBB flags update help?

Hello,

I have bought a used Shyvana (asus C433), on which I have installed mrchrome.tech UEFI firmware and then Manjaro linux.
Every thing is fine, except that after shutdown -h now then battery drain really fast (from 100% to 0% in one 24h). I think the poweroff is done completely (no light on the side once it is done).
inxi is saying that the battery condition is 84.4%, so not so bad.

I have read that the EC driver were buggy so I am wondering if changing some GBB flags might help notably:

  • GBB_FLAG_DISABLE_LID_SHUTDOWN
  • GBB_FLAG_DISABLE_EC_SOFTWARE_SYNC

I am asking because since I believe that settings the GBB flags are possible only in ChromeOS (so it would require me to flash back the original firmware & chromeOS).

the GBB flags no longer exist, and even if they did, I’m not sure how disabling shutdown when closing the lid would solve your issue
