Script says "WP Disabled" even though the battery is plugged in

For some reason, on my PHASER360, the battery is plugged in, but Arch says FW WP is disabled. Should i still run the Full Rom. I just am having lots of issues with RW_LEGACY, and I want to switch over. Also, if i switch to Full Rom, will it make my Arch install not boot anymore?

If you have ever done anything that required WP to be disabled, then the script would have disabled software WP. Software WP stays disabled until manually reenabled with a flashrom command.

But I never fully disabled WP. I only disabled Software WP. My Chromebook uses a CR50 chip, so the battery has to be unplugged to flash the rom. At least from my knowledge.

Software WP IS fully disabling WP. CR50 only controls hardware WP.

But I thought that you have to have the battery unplugged before you could flash the Full Rom?

Well at some point before, WP was disabled. Otherwise the script wouldn’t say it.

So should I disconnect the battery again?

no

Thanks WeirdTreeThing! So far, Full Rom is working 100x better. I don’t have to boot from a file and my touchscreen finally works.
