SASUKETTE write protection still enabled despite turning it off

Hello. My Sasukette chromebook still has write protection enabled despite me putting the conductive tape onto the WP jumper, as instructed for turning off WP on this motherboard.

I have tried reapplying the tape multiple times to no avail. The tape appears to be slightly flayed at the edges and the flayed pieces sticking out aren’t touching other components, but the tape still covers about 75% of the jumper.

I have even tried to (gently) put some graphite from a pencil onto the jumper, but that hasn’t worked either.

Does anyone else have this issue? Should i just get a Suzyqable to make my life easier? If so, where can i get one in the UK? (This is my first time posting on this forum, if i need to edit my post please tell me :sweat_smile:)

Update: I have used a Suzyqable to install the custom UEFI on it, but never managed to figure out why the non cable method didn’t work. Would be interesting from a learning from my mistakes perspective if anyone had any info as to why it didn’t work though :+1:
