Samsung Chromebook PRO Caroline no Audio after running the audio script on LMDE

Hello, I installed Linux Mint debian edition on my Samsung Chromebook Pro over the weekend but I get no audio even after running the script from WeirdTreeThing. It installed the new Kernel fine and it seemed to complete successfully but with no audio after a reboot.

I tried a few other distros but I get no audio either, even after running the script. Has anyone had success with the script and other distros or have any ideas on what else to try?

Looks like a workaround was found here but I can’t get it to work.

I tried running this:

sudo apt install -t bookworm-backports linux-image-amd64 linux-headers-amd64

I then ran

uname -v

and get the following

#1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Debian 6.11.10-1-bpo12+1 (2024-12-19)

I then re-run the script but still get no audio.
