Request to help

Hello. I’m very new here. I only modded my 1st Chromebook about 6 weeks ago (I now have modded 4 with Linux [still own 3 of them]), and haven’t spent much time reading here, but I’ve noticed just a few things that could be better. I don’t know how busy you guys are, and you’ve done a great job with everything, but I do feel like I could possibly be of help to you. I also feel that it would seem ungrateful and demanding to point out possible improvements. You guys might already be overworked. I haven’t spent enough time here to know. So, I was thinking of offering my help after I’ve spent some time reading the docs thoroughly and learning from the help people receive here to make myself more able to be a help to you. Yet, I feel that just reading the docs would be a wasted opportunity to help. I haven’t noticed that you guys need a proofreader or anything, but I do make a great proofreader (if a bit rusty), and if you feel like you could use a proofreader going over the docs, now would be an opportunity, as one is just about to start reading, beginning to end. Not only might it be a help to you, but a help to me as well, as it would ensure that I don’t skip around and miss anything. Please don’t take offense. I haven’t noticed that you need a proofreader and it may be flawless for all I know (I’m offering blindly), but I may be back shortly and demand you let me fix it if it’s far from good. I’ve certainly read enough of the docs to know that’s not the case, but small typos and punctuation errors may exist, and I can’t help but spot them. So, please let me know if you would like me to proofread as I learn about the things detailed in your public documents.

I plan to begin Monday morning, February 2nd, 2025. I live in US Central time. That will give you 48 hours to let me know before then, but I can start over if needed.

If there is more pressing help that you think I could help with in my current state, please let me know. This is currently my favorite project in existence, along with what mrchromebox has going on, but this seems a better fit for my interests and aptitudes.

I don’t promise to make it perfect, but I can usually improve anything I read.

Thanks for all,
Dave
