Recovery mode broken refresh key

System Details

Summary of the Issue

Any way to enter recovery mode without the use if the refresh key? Several keys are non functioning atm, including the refresh key. I assume that particular key is mapped directly to a reset/boot pin, but is the device’s keyboard required after I enter recovery mode? Can I open up the integrated keyboard and short the conductors on that key to send the keystroke and continue the process with keyboard connected via USB? Is the juice worth the squeeze?

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Break keyboard

  2. Try to flash linux

Expected Behavior

Push the buttons, do the thing

easier just to use a SuzyQ cable or replace the keyboard
