Hello! So I have a Pixelbook Go that I’m trying to install Fedora with dual boot. I followed the firmware steps, I think correctly. I start Fedora 43 from a live usb stick, make space with GParted, continue with the installation, it all seems to go smoothly, but when I try to boot into Fedora, I get a boot menu with the options “local image A“, “local image B“, “verified image A” and “verified image B“ (and alt usb boot), and when I try any of them I get “error: file ‘/syslinux/vmlinuz.A’ not found.” (or vmlinuz.B respectively). Any ideas?
you can’t do that, you have to use CRAP to repartition as per the docs then install Fedora into the newly-created partition. and install the EFI bootloader into partition 12.

Yeah, I noticed the CRAP part too late, thanks. So what would you say is the best way to proceed at this point? Can I delete the Fedora partitions and do it again with CRAP, or is it better to get out of developer mode so that ChromeOS returns to the default settings and take it again from the start?
Ok, all good, I managed to install it! Actually the main problem was that I didn’t make the partitions manually, as this option is somewhat hidden in the Fedora KDE installer, but all works as expected now. Thanks ![]()
- ChromeOS USB recovery to reset partition layout
- CRAP
- install fedora
no need to leave dev mode
