Partitioning help for Arch/ChromeOS Dualboot

Hey everyone,

I’ve spent the last four days stuck in a cycle (recovering ChromeOS, reflashing Arch, tweaking something slightly, and repeating) trying to dual-boot Arch on my HP Chromebook x360 14 (Sona) with RW_Legacy, and I believe my issue is with partitioning. I’ve attached an image of my current pre-anything partition setup. Any help would be greatly appreciated

if you use any Linux installer to repartition, you’re going to break ChromeOS. You need to use the chrultrabook CRAP tool under ChromeOS to resize an existing partition (p7) for Linux, then run the Linux installer and use p7 as /. You’ll install the bootloader to the MBR since SONA uses legacy boot still for RWL
