Not enough disk space to install?

Hello. I feel a little silly for having an issue like this but I really don’t know much about working with Linux/Linux terminals at all. Apologies in advance for this probably sounding really dumb haha

I was able to get the Mr. Chromebox script working fine but I’m struggling to actually install Linux, specifically Arch Linux. I have a flashdrive which I’ve been able to use to start the installation process but now I’m just getting an error message more or less saying that I don’t have enough disk space to complete the install. I’ve done a lot of attempts to install before this that ended up not working but since I never got to the actual installation phase before then I didn’t expect that it would cause me to run out of memory or anything. Is there any kind of equivalent to a factory reset so I can actually install Arch?

Did you delete the existing partitions of the internal storage? After switching from ChromeOS to MrChromebox you should delete all the existing partitions (you can do it during the disk setup part of installing Linux).

I don’t think I did, but I’ll try that.

you should use the 'Erase disk and install linux" option provided by the installer

Arch Linux doesn’t have a gui installer, but you should clear the ssd before making new partitions by running fdisk /dev/ and then g, then w. Also I would highly recommend not using archinstall on your first installation. When I was new to arch and less comfortable with terminal partition tools I would boot into gparted live first, partition my ssd, and then reboot into the arch iso, and follow the install guide.
