Newcomer's questions about Morpheus running linux

Hi.

I recently learned about the chrultrabook project through veronica explains (https://vkc.sh) and thought I would like to try this out. I have my eye at the Lenovo Yoga c13 (morpheus) and I am looking to purchase one when the chance appears.
I intend to install a linux distro on it, preferably Trisquel but if that doesn’t work, I will try with Linux Mint. I am not savvy when it comes to computers, programming etc. so I will probably have to struggle quite a bit to make things wotk. In the regard, I have a few questions:

  1. Will a 100% FOSS distro like Trisquel work? If not, what must I expect not to function?
  2. I suspect that the wifi adapter is not compatible with a FOSS driver. Is it possible to replace it?
  3. Is it possible to replace the battery, once it runs tired?
  4. Are there any experiences with upgrading the RAM on this machine? I do not have the skills to do so myself, but if it is possible to do it, I will ask someone to help me.
  5. I will mainly be using the machine for browsing, emails, office work, including presentations (libreoffice), and light video editing. How well/bad can I expect Morpheus’ to handle this kind of work?
  6. Do all versions of Morpheus (originally) come with a stylus?

I am looking forward to get to know the chrultrabook project.

For your use case, why struggle with converting a CB to Linux? Why not use a machine made to run Linux, or just run ChromeOS as it can easily handle everything you mentioned?

I am looking for a machine which depends on a minimum of proprietary software, is reasonable ‘modern’ and has a good keyboard. On top of that I often use a tablet for my work, and I would like to be able to integrate the computer and the tablet function into one machine. For the combination of these desires, it seems to me that running Mr.Chromebooks coreboot firmware and Linux on Morpheus is near the best possible option.
