Plz list board names (HWID)
they did (LINDAR)
Read past it, I thought that was sth like âtufâ in asus laptops, shoulda had written in bold
Plus there should be a part of listing a problem where people have to choose a hwid as a part of problem, donât you think?

So my chromebook has a LINDAR motherboard
I have installed windows 11ltsc using the mrchromebox firmware (currently running 2509.1)
When I installed windows I went to the coolstar website to download the drivers for my track pad and my touchscreen. I then ran the drivers like it said on the website and restarted the device but they didnât work. (Also yes I ran the driver for the windows c++ thing)
Thatâs all, Thanks for the support.
Reinstall windows, install the c++ drivers first, follow the sequence given on the coolstar website.
Iâll try it again and tell you how it goes
Sure
thereâs no need to reinstall Windows, thatâs a waste of time and effort.
Devices like the touchpad and audio donât work when the system drivers for the controllers to which they are connected are missing (in this case, the I2C controllers), that is almost certainly your problem. Look at device manager, are there a ton of unknown devices missing drivers?
Use Snappy Driver Installer Origin to install any missing drivers, reboot, and the touchpad will work.
SDI and windows updates conflict with coolstar drivers a lot of times, they mark coolstarâs drivers as obsolete and disable them.
Manually installing is the way, or first use sdi, then install collstars drivers.
using SDI and only checking âshow missingâ means there will be no conflicts with existing drivers. I do this all the time for testing.
Not everybody knows that, but good that you shared
Ok thank you I will try it
It worked, thanks for the help
Also, for usbc headphone functionality do I need to buy the audio drivers?
no, coolstarâs audio drivers are only for the built-in speakers and headphones.
USB/BT audio is completely separate / uses standard Windows drivers
So will i fnd the drivers in sdi aswell?
drivers for what?
For my usbc headphones, they donât work w the chromebook
