System Details
- Device: [fizz]
- OS: [Linux, Windows]
- Firmware Type: [UEFI Full ROM]
- Firmware Version: [MrChromebox_2026.06]
- Internal storage type: [NVMe] (if applicable)
Summary of the Issue
[Mouse doesn’t work in the firmware setup.]
Steps to Reproduce
-
Updated the firmware by the script. Reboot and press ESC key.
-
A new UI appears, and a mouse pointer in the middle of the screen.
-
When I move the mouse to the left, the pointer moves up. When I move the mouse to the right, the pointer moves down. And the pointer moves to the right when any button pressed, and can’t get back.
Expected Behavior
[Mouse works properly, the pointer moves as I expected, the button founctions as it should be.]
not able to reproduce here on TEEMO (fizz) with 2606.0 release firmware.
what brand/model mouse is being used? connected how?
It’s called YICHIP Wireless Device.
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 3151:3020 YICHIP Wireless Device
and no further info.
It works well on any Windows, Ubuntu、Debian based OSes, Android TVboxes, Normal BIOS firmwares like ASUS、Gigabyte:
not even sure how to begin to debug this TBH
It’s not a serious thing, but it’s terrible for someone with OCD.
Maybe something wrong with the driver. This might be helpful:https://www.bing.com/search?q=ID%203151%3A3020
from linux:
lsusb -d VVVV:DDDD -v
sudo usbhid-dump -d VVVV:DDDD
where VVVV is the vendor ID and DDDD is the device ID
guessing there is a HID report in there that muxes the orientation
Nice joke🤣! But the left/right directions are locked. and can’t click any item because all the button you pressed will make the cursor move to the right direction. until out of the screen. you can’t make it back from unless you reboot.
I’ll try it tomorrow. Thank you.
Here are the results:
lsusb -d 3151:3020 -v

the edk2 mouse driver assumes that the mouse device supports the boot protocol, but your device does not, so I have to implement a more robust HID parser or a device quirk
Thanks for your hard work!
It works! very well. you’re the great godlike expert!
