I recently bought a SuzyQable and when I tried to do the command “ls /dev/ttyUSB*” it just says “ls: cannot access ‘/dev/ttyUSB*’: no such file or directory” and I tried flipping the SuzyQable so many times but it still doesnt work. Does anyone know how to fix this?
is the USBA end of the Suzy q attached to the Chromebook or a separate Linux Device? Either way, make sure there is power to the motherboard and Linux device if using
my suzyqable is usb c and i plugged it in to both sides
Both ends are usb-c?
ye but I do have 2 usba ports too
I’m not talking about the ports on your laptop - I’m talking about the cable itself, one end is USB-C and the other end is USB-A. The USB-C end should be plugged into the USB-C port of the motherboard itself (not the daughter board usb-c) and the USB-A end should be plugged into any of the USB-A ports on the laptop
But im using a USB c cable on the SuzyQable not USB A
What cable are you using? Did you make it?
no I’m just using a regular USBC to USBC cable
I tried using a different one but it still didn’t work
What SUZYQ cable are you using?
Regardless, if you are using a regular usbc cable and plugging it into a suzyq board (like this: Chromebook Debug Board / "SuzyQ" / "SuzyQable" adapter for Cr50 / Ti50 | eBay), then use a USBC to USBA cable and plug the USBA end into the Chromebook’s USBA port.
wait let me try that
Nope doesnt work
When I type “ls /dev/tty*” all it outputs is “/dev/tty” so that means that /dev/ttyUSB doesn’t exist
I checked dmesg and it recognised the SuzyQable and then it ejected. Idk anything about these types of stuff so if anyone can analyze this log then yay. Click here to view the log
