I just wondering where i can find the docs or guide/ support for the LINUX Mint Drivers for craaskov
there are none that need to be installed after the fact, Linux doesn’t work that way
nah i ment if i wanted to dual boot windows and mint linux is there anything extra i need to do?
Oh so you were just posting on Linux support asking about Linux drivers because you wanted to know if anything else was needed if you wanted to dual boot Windows?
yeh just wondering how I could dual or trio/triple boot like Linux/windows/chromeos? like on mrchromebox.tech firmware
So I already have the firmware installed I just need some pointers on getting windows 11 and Linux mint to dual boot.
The firmware isn’t the issue here it’s the dual boot on an external ssd that is. I had just windows that was fine and just Linux its just when they are dual booting is the issue.
The next step after windows 11 and Linux mint dual boot Is trio boot chrome os back in with windows 11 grub2 brunch or something this part I’m unsure off.
So if you just pointing me to the docs at least tell me where triple/ trio boot is.
Not this:
Read the description for each type of firmware and what each one can boot. And what it can’t.
ok yeh I already said I’m dual booting and my device is compatible with (UEFI) Full ROM I already have UEFI shell
Edit* I have two Chromebooks that are compaitible with UEFI firmware ones reef which works fine with UEFI firmware the other I’m still researching for craaskov
So booting Chrome OS is out as an option using the full UEFI firmware.
Dual booting Windows and Linux will be the same as doing so on a normal laptop or PC…
Instal Windows first. Once you have that running and set up to your liking, install Linux mint following their instructions. There should be how tos for installing to an exlternal USB drive if your internal storage isn’t very large. If it is, the installer can shrink Windows for you.
So I’ve installed on an ssd windows on my pc on a partition as well as Linux they are all on partitions. After the install of windows and Linux from my pc I then plug the ssd externally through usb into my chrome book with the Uefi firmware. This doesn’t seem to work ???
ok?
Any tips on what I can do to dual / trio boot?
