Lenovo Flex 3 (Botenflex) waking up from sleep constantly

System Details

  • Device: botenflex
  • OS: NixOS unstable
  • Firmware Type: UEFI Full ROM
  • Firmware Version: latest, updated in march or so
  • Internal storage type: eMMC

Summary of the Issue

Whenever my system turns off the screen automatically, or I enable “sleep”, the screen automatically turns on again after a few seconds.

This is perfectly reproducible, happens all the time. I will see wether I am using s2idle or s3, I am not sure. I suspect some sensor information turning on the display.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Setup NixOS with KDE Plasma on a botenflex

  2. disable the Intel ME

  3. enable the iio sensor proxy service

  4. disable the touchscreen in the KDE settings

  5. turn on sleep

Expected Behavior

screen should not automatically turn on
