Lenovo 300e Gen 3 recovery mode problem

Hi everyone, I have a question.

When I disconnect the battery and do the sequence to get recovery mode, the screen is black and the LED blinks red. Does someone know how to fix this? When I reconnect the battery and re-try, recovery mode pops up as it should

you can’t boot to recovery mode with the battery disconnected. where in the instructions does it tell you to do so?

I tried reading it but I suppose I’m a bit confused. I saw battery listed so I’m not sure what it meant with that. It only works through cable?

  • put device in developer mode.
  • power off
  • disable WP
  • boot and run script
  • flash firmware
