Hello,
First, I should also mention that this chromebook has been sitting brand new for ~4 years and it probably the root cause of this issue, but I’m not able to narrow it down further.
I’m having some issues with an Intel Lenovo 300e Gen 2 chromebook which I’d like to install Linux on. When I try to turn it on while charging, the power light turns on and seems to randomly turn off and on, and the screen flashes briefly as if it’s boot looping. It doesn’t seem to turn on at all on battery power. The charge indicator lights up solid red instead of an amber colour like it usually should on this model. The boot loop still happens if I power it on with the battery disconnected.
I am able to get into the recovery menu (Esc + Refresh) and I have even managed to use recovery media successfully, but the system still does not boot.
I’d really appreciate if anybody knows what could be happening here and offer any advice or solutions.
Thanks
