I am looking for help on how to get the stock firmware of Lenovo 300e 2nd Gen (Intel) model. The codename is PHASOR360. I am a technician and have access to hardware SPI programmer. I work in a refurbishing facility and we have dozens of Chromebooks to work with. This includes both Intel and AMD models from various manufacturers. The device in question has firmware flashed by others before and doesn’t have display on screen. I tried copying SPI from working machine but no success. Later i have heard that Chromebooks may not work with another machine’s firmware. I suspect that the other technician tried to flash the firmware as part of removing enrollment but ended up bricking the units. If i can’t fix them, all of them will go to e-waste. Since the units are already broken, i am willing to do any experiment.
- Is there any way to get a stock firmware image (ROM/BIN) that will work with these machines ?.
- If not, is it possible to get a modified firmware like the Chultrabook that will work with these and somehow install ChromeOS ?
