Lenovo 100e Chromebook 2nd gen video playback issues

I have a Lenovo Chromebook 100e 2nd gen running arch and I recently have had trouble with any type of video playback. I noticed while troubleshooting that whenever I killed pulseaudio, the problem would go away (without sound of course). The weirdtreething linux audio script didn’t work which made sense because I had no problems with video or audio playback until recent.

if your audio isn’t working properly, video playback won’t work, because video is synced to the audio (if present) during playback. Killing PA means there is no audio to sync to, so it plays back without issue

Is there any way to resolve this?

pretty straightforward: fix your audio and the video playback will work properly

That’s where I’m kind of lost as I have no idea what is wrong with my audio. I have done numerous fresh installs of arch using the archinstall script and I still encounter the same problem each time.

no idea, I don’t use that device or Arch.

Do you have any tips on how to troubleshoot this? I’m relatively new to linux
