I’m trying to disable WP on my my Asus CX14 Chromebook (CX1405CTA) to install Linux Mint XFCE.
Removing the battery connector alone wasn’t enough to disable WP. MrChromebox Tech lists my model as having the TELTIC board, with the CR50/Ti50 (SuzyQ) method being needed to disable WP.
SuzyQ boards/cables aren’t readily available in my country. I tried bridging what looks like the jumper holes which are shown in the picture, both with a paperclip as well as later twisted aluminum foil, however write protection was still enabled.
