It does not detect wifi networks on my acer chromebook plus 514, Windows 11

Hello, I have installed Windows 11 on my Acer Chromebook Plus 514, but now it does not detect Wi-Fi networks or Bluetooth networks, I have already tried installing several drivers but none of them have worked, the computer works perfectly, the only problem is that I cannot connect to the internet, please help me.

you need to install the correct drivers for the WiFi device, simple as that.

Did you follow the instructions and install all the drivers linked on coolstar.org?

Also, if you want help switch your language to english for screenshots.

If I installed everything step by step and it didn’t work.

Device Manager will tell the truth. You have not installed the necessary drivers for WiFi.

what is your device’s board name?

How can I find out the license plate number or name?

cmon man, this is basic stuff in the docs. Shown on the main UEFI setting screen. msinfo32 also reports it.

Sorry, look the motherboard is Markarth, Board Version: rev3, AMD Ryzen 3 7320 C Processor, System SKU: sku720936, BIOS Version: coreboot MrChromebox-2408.1

post a pic of device manager showing any unknown devices

Do you think it has a solution? thanks for really helping me.

it appears that coolstar does not link the necessary Mediatek MTK9722 drivers for wifi for AMD Mendocino boards. Use these:

https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds555117-mtk-amd-rz616-wireless-lan-driver-for-windows-11-version-21h2-or-later-10-version-20h2-or-later-thinkpad-l14-gen-3-l15-gen-3

and English only for screenshots.

The problem is that it asks me for a Lenovo board model and mine is an Acer, I don’t have a serial number for a Lenovo, do you have one?

try: https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/mobiles/r1yws08w.exe

What’s wrong, it gives it to me as a corrupt file or something like that and it doesn’t let me download it, I don’t know if you can send it to me through a link from a cloud or through some platform

don’t know what to tell you, other than to find another source for Windows drivers for the MTK9722 WiFi. I don’t have anything to give you, I don’t use Windows. No idea why the download wouldn’t work

I will keep trying, thank you very much.

Bro same model has multiple boards , first check for its motherboard name …then u will find correct driver , same board has intel processor and amd too

OP already posted that the board name is MARKARTH. coolstar’s guide is missing the WiFI drivers for AMD Mendocino Chromebooks which use the MTK9722 WiFi.
