I want to get my Samsung Chromebook 4 back into Its original stock firmware, but i know most models Are not stable enough to do It using Mrchromebox ultility script, so i want to know if this one is. (I don’t have a backup BIOS btw)
I have no idea what you mean here
In the recovery utility itself, it says that reverting the firmware to the original factory version without a backup requires downloading the firmware from the internet according to the device. But it also says that “the operation has the potential to brick the device” and I’ve seen several people complain about this with specific models. Is the Samsung Chromebook 4 one of them? Or is it safe to return to the stock firmware?
what recovery utility?
that statement is true any time you flash the firmware. flashing without the ability to unbrick the device is risky, regardless.
alright, got it. Thanks for the help! i’m gonna keep the modded firmware btw
