Is it possible to put Linux on an ASUS C101PA (BOB)?

Hi, I’ve been vaguely interested in the Chrultrabook community for some time now as I have owned a Chromebook that has become basically useless to me over the years. I actively dislike using Chrome, this model has stopped receiving official updates, and the hardware in it has begun to fail with age, but its still functional at its basics.

The C101PA / BOB is an ARM device and from what I understand, not many ARM based Chromebooks are eligible for some form of alternate OS booting, considering that BOB isn’t listed on this page, and MrChromebox.tech notes that ARM-based devices aren’t supported.

I’ve seen some folks state that it can be possible/has been done before on ARM Chromebooks, but I figure it varies model to model/board? Is there anything that I could possibly even try? If worse comes to wear and attempts result in corrupting the base firmware I honestly wouldn’t be quite upset because the alternative of not being able to boot something other than ChromeOS would still end in me just recycling the thing. Any pointers are really appreciated.
