I recently picked up a CRAASNETO Chromebook motherboard for very cheap, and I’m trying to figure out how practical it is to run Linux on it as a standalone board — no screen, keyboard, or other peripherals attached.
Has anyone here experimented with this model? I’m wondering whether it can be brought up using a SuzyQ cable, or if a CH341A programmer de-brick method would work for unlocking and flashing firmware? I’ve read bits and pieces about both approaches, but I’m still not entirely sure what’s actually feasible with this board.
Any insights or experience would be greatly appreciated.
you absolutely need a SuzyQ to disable WP and AP RO verification, and then to flash it
Not with Ti50
According to the instructions I’ve read, I need to have the laptop running and access the VT2 terminal to disable WP and AP RO, correct? Can I just take out a flash chip and program it with an external programmer?
no, because that doesn’t do anything to disable AP RO verification. please read the docs on my site to understand how that works
I’m not sure but in some chromebook motherboards the usb c to display port is not enabled till the os is loaded, then you probably need connect internal display for start the installation.
