hello and good day, please i have an Acer Chromebook 13 CB5-311. The os unfortunately is outdated and i can’t seem to do anything with it.

the thing is i keep reading about having to remove the write protection screw for it before i can start anything but i don’t know which screw is that. i have checked youtube but save for the review there is no information on that model.

Can someone tell me where the write protection is for this model? A picture/ video link will be preferable.

Secondly, can someone tell me what installation is possible on this model?

I have good news and bad news for you. The bad news is that the only OS you can really install on your Chromebook is postmarketOS. That is a separate project to chrultrabook. The good news is that to install postmarketOS, you do not need to remove hardware WP.
