Summary of the Issue
I want to use my Avocor Series One Desk 27 Google Meet Hardware just as ChromeOS device with a personal Google Account (not Workspace) and get out of the Meet kiosk mode. I was able to flash MrChromebox UEFI Full ROM successfully and then install Chrome Flex OS, but it still thinks it’s a Google Meet Hardware device and wants me to enroll it before I can even set up an account. I tried bridging the WP jumpers, but then no USB devices work when it’s connected. I ended up installing Ubuntu, which works great. I then bridged the WP contacts again and SSHed in from another machine since the keyboard and mouse don’t work when I bridge the WP holes.
It sounds like if I update the serial number in the VPD it might solve my problem, but when I run sudo ./vpd -p internal -l from my SSH connection, I get this error:
sudo ./vpd -p internal -l
[WARN] flashromPartialRead() failed, try full read.
[ERROR] flashromFullRead() error!
Is there a way to help the Avocor Series One Desk 27 to forget it’s a Google Meet Device so I can just run ChromeOS (Flex or otherwise). I’m feeling like I’m hitting a brick wall.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
