Been helping others with installing and using Mrchromebox firmware-util since 2022.
Much thanks to MrChromebox.
I have 2 HP Chromebox ZAKO.
Both of them are already running MrChromebox coreboot and ChromeOS flex for some years now.
So WP screw disabled and Dev mode enabled of course.
On the 1st one, I was able to do Ctrl-Alt-F2 chronos and choose option 1 to update old firmware MrChromebox-4.13
So that ZAKO is done.
But on the 2nd ZAKO, it acts like WP or Dev is not enabled.
I opened it up to confirm WP screw disabled.
Ctrl-Alt-T will launch crosh but

error unknown command
>chronos
error unknown command
My questions are:
- can I update Mrchromebox firmware from the coreboot ESC at boot?
I don’t see an option. Plus I’m assuming that’s because the update is thru the script which downloads and installs the fw, not coreboot UEFI. - why can’t I go into VT2 with Ctrl-Alt-F2 command like previously?
so I can login chronos and run the curl script? - how to confirm WP status and Dev mode when I cannot run VT2 terminal?
