How do I know if My Chromebook has the max98357 Audio Chip?

I have an HP Chromebook G5 11 that I would like to convert to Linux. I’ve been reading up on documentation from both MrChromebox and Chrultrabook and I’d like to know how I can identify if I have the “max98357” audio chip. Any other tips from switching from ChromeOS to Linux would also be greatly appreciated!

If you need any device information, my chromebook has something to do with Setzer and Braswell… I can’t exactly wrap my head around what they mean but there they are.

The script will warn you if you have max98357a on a device using the AVS driver. In any other case, there is no need to worry about it.

Thank you for the reply. If I may also ask you, are there any supported OS’s you could reccomend ? I’ve been thinking about using Lubuntu for the apt package manager and it’s lightweightness, but I know that’s not a supported/endorsed OS. I’m quite low on the specs with 32GB storage , 4GB RAM and a Celeron chip if that helps to form your advice.
