How Can I Remove The Beeping Sound Of My Newly Updated Chromebook To Linux Mint 22.2

Summary of the Issue

[Whenever I open firefox and go to youtube to watch some videos my audio goes from okay, to full on beep sound.]

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Firefox.

  2. Go To Youtube.

  3. Watch a Video.

  4. Wait for 5 - 10 minutes.

Expected Behavior

[After 5 - 10 minutes of watching youtube video on firefox my audio will turn from good to beeping sound until you pause the video, or close the firefox and wait 10 seconds for the beeping sound to stop.]

Actually I change the operating system of my hp chromebook 11 5G EE to linux mint 22.2. that’s why I can used firefox, my problem now is that my audio is suddenly going from good to beep sound whenever I try to watch youtube or anime. I also made a mistake to my OS post :sweat_smile:

Use Q4OS TDE or KDE

Works fine on my HP G5 EE

you need to use the script to fix it

Vro this for new devices only that have bugs with standard linux distros and it only supports newer distros

worked for me on my other chromebook on unutnu 16.04 so

Must be a newer Chromebook tho

His Chromebook is pretty mature

Pretty sure it’s a mint thing

Mint doesn’t play nice with chromebooks
