Hi idk how else to ask this so here we go

System Details

  • Device: [Acer Chromebook spin 311(cp311-2h)]
  • OS: [ChromeOS]
  • Firmware Type: [Stock, RW_LEGACY, UEFI Full ROM]
  • Firmware Version: [As reported by the script]
  • Internal storage type: [SATA, NVMe, eMMC, UFS] (if applicable)

Summary of the Issue

[so I’m on the Mrchrome.tech website and looking at the disabling firmware write protection and I was wondering is the suzyQ cable required ]

(sorry if this is a stupid question)

go to: Supported Devices | MrChromebox.tech

  • search for your BOARD NAME (not make/model)
  • check column for WP disable methods available

Many CR50 devices have more than one method available, but SuzyQ is always best

ok sorry for being stupid but from what I understand is the WP method is one or the other Right?

only one or the other is necessary. I’m not a fan of anything other than using the SuzyQ, since it makes sure you can unbrick and debug, and no risk of power cutting out
