Help - Sona - Brick?

System Details

  • Device: Sona (HP Chromebook x360 14)
  • OS: ChromeOS
  • Firmware Type: Stock (or RW_LEGACY)
  • Firmware Version: [As reported by the script]
  • Internal storage type: eMMC

Summary of the Issue

So, today i tried to follow mrchromebox’s guide to dual-boot but i fckd and i think my Chromebook is bricked.

I could sucefully load Firmware Utility Script (pic 01).

After rebooting, i cant boot ANY OS, even my previous ChromeOS (pic 02).

I can load into edk2 boot menu but ANY option there fails. I can’t even restore my factory ChromeOS. (pic 03)

I’ve tried all day somehow to fix this but i’m still stuck.

Any thoughts?

Steps to Reproduce

Expected Behavior

[What should have happened?]

I had a similar problem. Can you enter recovery mode? Do you have the flashrom.log logs? Press and hold Esc + Refresh + Power, it should enter recovery mode

there are no pics 2 and 3, and you haven’t told us what the problem actually is.

“I can’t do X” doesn’t tell us anything useful.

“When I do X, Y happens” does.

UPDATE:

I’ve managed to use Rescuezillaon a usb pendrive. Then i’ve follow mrchromebox tutorial and sucefully managed to restore Stock ChromeOs.

I’m note sure what i did wrong on the first place but i’ll read the guide again, calmly.

Thanks again guys!
