why don’t you tell us what happened that you think you need a HWID, and what the HWID is now?
RELM is EOL so it makes no sense to be running ChromeOS on it
Basically I bought a Chromebook that has windows on when it’d supposed to be ChromeOs and when I restore it back to Chrome Os it shows “Malformed Hardware ID” when starting ChromeOs for the first time.
right, but it’s pointless to run ChromeOS on it, it hasn’t gotten updates in over a year and will continue to deteriorate.
just flash the UEFI firmware back on it and install Linux
Sure. What Linux should I use since the storage is 16 GB only.
Debian with Xfce or LXQt is good for low-powered Chromebooks with only 16GB storage.
Does your Chromebook at least have 4GB RAM?
Yep my Chromebook has 4 GB of RAM.
