I followed this (https://linuxconfig.org/how-to-install-any-linux-distro-on-a-chromebook) tutorial for john lewis rw legacy & when i do it I get an error (image), what can I do?
ask John Lewis for help, or not use a tutorial that’s 6 years old.
You came here asking for help, yet you’re using someone else’s instructions. Why would you not follow the documentation here?
Sorry, but its because i want to keep ChromeOS & its elements in my laptop aka use RW_Legacy which has been grayer out for me
because I don’t support RW_LEGACY on EOL devices.
John Lewis hasn’t been active in the Chromebook scene in 5+ years. His website says everything is unsupported.
If you want to run RW_LEGACY on your EOL device, you’re going to have to read up, understand how this all works, and make it happen yourself.

no, I don’t. I don’t recommend it. I don’t support it. there’s absolutely no reason to run a years out of date version of Chrome OS on your device
okay, i suppose youre going to recommended UEFI then? If so, is the wp screw i removed the right one? (In another post)
the script will tell you if it’s the right one as WP will show as disabled
