Just a warning about the choice of driver: It appears as if the xf86-intel-video driver is causing the video signal to drop every 10 to 20 minutes after streaming for a longer period of time (2 - 3 hours). I had that issue on a 20 year old screen with zero proprietary power management and with a modern screen attached, but disabled power management there, so I narrowed it down a bit. Because that was never a problem while it was still a Chromebox: Would it help to simply rely on the core drivers? I’m hesitant to mess with that because of the implications if it fails. I went the arch Linux route following the official installation guide. I got it all running and am really happy, but I really don’t want to lose access to the system in case the suggested solution to fix the video out problem is wrong. Sorry in case this is off topic or stupid.
