Summary of the Issue

Hello,

i have got some of these devices (Genesis), but i dont have original power supply with 19V&54V outputs.
I know, that on older version of this device is possible to power it in only with 19V PSU but it looks like it is not possible in this device with 10gen intel.

After connect laboratory power supply fan starts spinning for two seconds - so powering of board looks good, but it does not reacts to power ON button.

Visually it looks , like is 54V only for powering lan ports but i am not sure - maybe is here detection if is 54V present or not?

Does anyone know trick how to switch it on only with 19V ?

Im getting one of these just like yours: 10gen intel. My package is still with the courier.

Btw, did you manage to turn on the device with only 19v? Or it does need the 54V as well?

…i still have 3 of these comps but but is is still not solved. My idea was to use it as TV-PC….but i have got gratis large Avocor One Board 65 (Chromeos-MOONBUGGY) - something like 65” touchscreen AIO.

For me it looks like is needed to be present both - 19V and 54V….19V for run PC and 54V for another connected devices…but on this device is it harder because it really needs 54V detected - not for power on pc - just for power on check.

Use a UC3843 or similar step up converter.

I did recieved my unit.

And ive tried with only 19v it DOES start!

However maybe you need to make sure it is 19V adaptor /psu with 4.74A output (90w). I did tried with lower amps, it is struggling to turned on.

Now: ive Successfully flashed the spi chip with jumper wire.

where are you finding these cheap? I wouldn’t mind picking one up to play with

I’m from far far away, Indonesia,

Got it from local marketplace listed as Barebone system without PSU.
Somehow i got a free 4gb stick on the back side. It does include AX201, M.2 E Key Dual edge TPU and I believe a Capture card with E Key interface.

Its dirt cheap, currency converted to around 60US$ inc (ship + tax)
So fun to play with.
