Going from MrChromeBox Windows 10 to 11?

I have a Windows 10 Pixel EVE (i7/16GB/512GB) all working as good as it can, is there a direct path to Windows 11 or do I have to start over?

Thanks

personally I would stick with Win10, but you can upgrade to Win11 via the standard methods for any PC, taking into account you need to bypass the checks for CPU and TPM.

I have the 4.20.1 (7/21/2023) firmware, how do I upgrade it if I need too? I no longer am booting into ChromeOS.

I have the TPM flags set (windows update still warns), but what do I do for the CPU?

what does the documentation on my site say?

there are a gazillion articles online about bypassing Windows 11 requirements checks. The easiest way to do so is to use Rufus to create your install media.

I am working through it, I am getting a 0x80070070 - 0x1000A failed DOWNLEVEL PREPARE_FIRST_BOOT after it goes through all the Win 11 updating.

I am trying to recreate a recovery partition, but only have 4GB to use once I shrink. I have a ton of small partitions that are all without file systems except one 16MB that is raw. Not sure what I can delete and what the linux portion uses.

RUFUS fails with WARN EfiFs driver v1.5 (GRUB 2.0) v0x10

Bootable ISO fails with no explanation after everything is updated

Media Assistant fails on CPU and TPM (I have the registry keys for LabConfig and MoSetup)

Could it be my firmware version?

Windows 11 is installed, now dealing with Bluetooth and some minor issues. I had to expand the system partition (was 32MB, made it 64MB despite deleting the fonts folder) and add a recovery partition (500MB).

I remember two years ago soldering up a SuzyQ to start this journey. I still have it and just bought one of the more “solid state” ones off ebay from one of our members. Probably will never use it but it’s a bit of geek nostalgia.

I wish they made a laptop like the Pixelbook EVE today. It’s so crisp and small and even today can do my wife’s word/excel and browsing just fine.

Everything is good again. Went to intel and downloaded their driver utility and it fixed the Bluetooth and updated the CPU and wifi drivers as well, then used SDIO to update (mostly PCI drivers) that were not installed. Win 11 and Office 2024 is all working well.
